Personal style: Pink in a blink

There is no LBD(aka little black dress) for me. Too classy, too obvious, too black. I don't imply that there shouldn't be in a girl's wardrobe. Probably I also own one. But sometimes get out of your comfort zone. Why not wear in a night out with your girls a baby pink mini dress. Girly thus sexy if you support it with the right attitude! Mine is from H&M(last season though). Try it!

Personal Style: Lace'n'Plaid

Getting out of your comfort zone and trying your style limits is one of the subjects that I have argued over many many times at this blog. Speaking of which here I am dressing up a little bit more goth-grunge than usual and trying to balance among rock style and romantic(that comes along with the dark lace). The plaid shirt, which by the way is a huuuuge trend, yet i assume you already know, is the captain of this outfit combining both of these diverse elements.

Do you ever get out of your comfort zone? Let me know your thoughts.

Personal Style: The Details

I'm not quite a huge fan of jean pants(weird huh?), yet I consider it to be extremely challenging to find the perfect jeans that embrace the woman's curves. However I cant resist them when they give me a buttoned up sheer shirt, a playful jacket and accessories to play with.
A statement necklace should be a no miss for me if you want to add a bit of sauciness in the outfit and still in order not to loose control combine everything with an all-time classic bag. Mine is the Neverfull Monogram LV and its a statement on her own!
Do you spice your outfits with accessories too or you keep a tone more casual?

Personal Style: Mixing patterns

Mixing patterns. Well that's an idea! Blending two or more different patterns in one outfit although it sounds simple, it's not always the case. Many times I've tried it, millions I've failed. And that's from where my appreciation originates for the people that are nailing it! Leaving aside the clothes though, I wanna stand in the metaphorical meaning behind the title of this post and talk about human relations.
It's not gonna be long. I pledge.
People just like clothes are different between them. Two individuals trying to co-exist equals two patterns trying to do the exact same thing. As mentioned above it's not a easy thing to do. It takes imagination, envision, patience and a lot of work and love in order something to come out right, whether it's an outfit or a relationship. At such outcome (may I say) we were lead to with my photographer, yet above all friend, Mirto Vathioti. Working together, drinking coffee and (yes!) beers, talking about our dreams had grown into a deep appreciation and strong bondage.
That's why this photoshoot is so special to me. Cause it translates the affiliation not only among clothes but also among people.

Street Style: James Edward Quaintance III (Jimmy Q)

Originated from the sunny land of Venice(LA) Mister James Edward Quaintance III,or as commonly known Jimmy Q, is currently a citizen of the cloudy yet intriguing London. His avocations? Plenty there are. Model(he walked among all for Diesel and Vivviene Westwood), pro-skateboarder(in the footsteps of his dad), musician(has a band called Former Lovers), actor and tattooist. Nevertheless being a free bird, as he claims to be, he is not aware of what's next!
The piercing blue eyes, the strong jawline and the distinguishing style of his blend so harmonically and make him irresistible for one's vision. You can see him I suppose somewhere in the streets of London with a cigarette on one hand and his girl on the other.
What he wears is a mixture of pure skate style along with some punk rock influences, yet is not impossible to spot him also into a tailored suit!

I do not own the pictures. They all come from various sites.

Personal Style: Sunny(by Marvin Gaye)

Wearing this outfit makes me feel like a cherry blossom. Blame it on the pop out color of the sweater or simply in the light that's falling behind me. I can't really tell. But what I do tell is that most of the times I combine outfits with corresponding vibes, which likewise translates into songs. Since music is a big HUGE part of my life(headphones is literally an extension of my ears), from now own each outfit post will be framed under a song which is either one of my "classics" or a current obsession. Sunny by Marvin Gaye is one of my sky rockets. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Any songs suggestions? What are your favorites?

Personal Style: F for you(by Disclosure)

"I've been effected with restless whispers and cheats..Because I play the fool for you". Wow I can dance to this song all night long. I am more likely drawn to it because it's pure electronic music with nothing in between but words. Just like this outfit which is based on a white canvas(with the jumpsuit and the shoes) yet it's being interrupted by the color blue and the statement earrings.
You don't have to force an outfit more than that. Sometimes staying true to 2 or maximum 3 colors is "la migliore soluzione"(the best solution) as the Italians say! Plus I choose to "smash" the I'm-way-too-good-dressed-up with the vintage denim jacket and make it more easy breezy.
PS Invest into something white(whatever that is). It's a classy solution!

Personal Style: Heads will roll [Yeah Yeah Yeahs]

Long time, no see. I hope you didn't forget about me.
It has been almost a year since my last post at Style Fest but I certainly hope that things are a bit different this time around. In this whole year things have changed dramatically. And it's all for the best. But enough with the chitchat. Let's talk about some serious style.
Over this time my style changed yet another time. Maybe slightly but it did. All the different vibes and the stimuli that I absorb from the surroundings, whether it's a person, an editorial or the sun that is shining outside my window, I try to interpret them into my clothing and the way I dress.
This particular outfit is the strong total black combination that is an all-the-way classic and safe choice. Yet I chose to make it a little bit more playful and age-appropriate with the Carhartt cap which translates the deep appreciation that I nourish for the skate culture.
Hope you liked the comeback outfit ;)

Personal Style: Disparate youth [Santigold]

Yes this old habit of mine to attach images to songs will never stop. And this particular post is no exception! Disparate youth by Santigold is a much beloved track.
Santigold sings about how things may turn up in life and that others will want to bring you down. But, if you have faith in what you can achieve this or the other way, nothing can stop you. That's a life lesson for me and I bet for the majority of you out there. Youth or young, whatever that is, we create the clef in our music.
Here I'm wearing a total PCP Clothing outfit. This sweater is one of the coziest I've worn. It's the proper hoodie to cover my booty. It's long enough in order to wear it as a dress plus it makes me feel uber cool and unique(each design is one and only. there is no same to it. no no no). Furthermore the leggings have blown my mind out! They restrain my body and they are super comfy at the same time.  Wearing leggings won't be the same again. Those who follow me on Instagram have probably see me sporting the banana printed leggings too.

Think I'm in serious, deep, pure Love and Lust \m/

Personal Style: Flunk [Blue Monday]

Yesterday was indeed a Blue Monday. Not only was the weather a bit blue, the vibe as well. Busy busy busy day. And what do you seek in a day like that? Comfort along with style.
I chose to wear my baby blue PCP leggings that are super comfy, restain my body(and booty.hooray!) and are super stylish. A long shirt makes the whole outfit more classy and the layers always give you extra credits. The jumper is an oldie in my wardrobe but I like its voluminousness, bright colours and the contrast it creates among the pieces of clothing. Combining pastel colours with other more vibrant ones it's a DO DO DO for sure.
Would you wear something like that? How would you style your PCP Clothing leggings?

Casual OOTD(outfit of the day).
My style may be diverse and can take lots of forms but some days sticking to the basics is a must-do. And there is nothing more classic than the boyfriend style. Wear your comfy, ripped, boyfriend jeans style it with a turtleneck knit, cause days are getting chillier, and throw on your shoulders an oversized blazer. And KAPOW in 3 minutes you can achieve an effortless look and the eyes of passersby scanning you to see what you wear.
PS Oxford shoes are optional. But oh boy(!) I can never turn down oxford shoes.

Now I'm gonna tell my mama that I'm a traveller, I'm gonna follow the sun.
Stuck in my head the last few moths this song is playing through my earphones non stop. Can't complain though. Every time I listen to it my whole days brightens. Even the moodier one.
And talking about moody days(and winter) I still can't understand why people get stuck on dark colors. Yeah black, blue, grey are the safe choices but have you ever tried putting on colourful leggings and see how it feels? Suddenly your day has an essence of happiness and you face the circumstances with a whole different perspective.
Every time I wear my PCP grapefruit leggings this is how I roll. And since I'm a kiddo of gimme-prints-and-many-colors please, the dotted shirt and the mint jumper was the one-way to go.
Would you add so many colors in a single outfit?

Another dimension Another dimension Another dimension Another dimension.
Well now don't you tell me to smile you stick around I'll make it worth your while..
"We are the cool kids on the block and this is our party era" that's the phrase we go by. We are young, fresh and hot and nothing can stop us from going out and partying all night. This is our time. Our era.
However our age doesn't imply necessary with what we wear. For example wearing my vintage high waisted Levi's jeans, a fishnet Nike tank top and my Adidas Superstars is my ultimate party outfit. What is comfier than a pair of sneakers combined with your jeans? Provided that you dance all night and not just sit in your (other than that pretty fine round) ass. Go out. Party. Dance to disco, rock, hip hop, whatever genre you like. Just make sure you feel comfortable in your own skin and clothes. If you have this feeling, others will get your vibe too.

Just a super quick and tiny tiny outfit update. These days are super busy and there is hardly time for anything. That was what I was wearing in my best friend's graduation the other day. I find these midi dresses super comfortable and ladylike. Combined with the hat and a leather jacket there's a whole new essence though. A more Parisian one. Anyway. Gotta go. Until next time ;)

Personal Style: Itsy bitsie fluffy beanie

There are some things in our wardrobe that we never seem eager to stop wearing and pretty much this is the story behind this "itsy bitsie fluffy beanie". It was instant love and lust from the first moment and it got me so excited not only it's super color yet also it's "fluffiness". We can all agree that MUM'S Handmade creates pretty cool stuff and wait till you see the spring summer collection. Mamma mia!!
The MUM's beanie seemed to me a knock-off paired with my other obsession, the purple satin bomber jacket and a simple mid dress underneath. I think someone will have to remove this beanie from my head because I refuse to stop wearing until it's 20 degrees outside.
